Playbill
A friend asked me to bake a cake in honor of her daughter Gina's college graduation.  Gina was a theatre major, so this cake seemed the perfect choice.
BLOCKS.jpg (31778 bytes) Baby Blocks
I baked this for a dual baby shower.
CHZCK_FR.jpg (27169 bytes) Fruit Cheesecake
It's not easy taking something as healthy as fruit and making it
a high-fat, high-calorie dessert!
 Fruit Tarts
With an almond-cream-rum filling, cream custard topping, and Kirsch-soaked fruit, these are probably my favorite dessert!
FOREST.jpg (31684 bytes) Black Forest Cake
This classic recipe calls for soaking each of the four chocolate
layers with Kirsch (cherry brandy).
ETCHSKCH.jpg (32731 bytes) Etch-A-Sketch
I baked this for a friend's daughter's
end-of-school-year party.
CLOWN.jpg (34007 bytes) Clown Cake
I baked this for the first
birthday of my friend's son.
 Curious George Cake
Another first birthday cake for the son of friends of mine.  He was born in 2004, during the Year of the Monkey, so this seemed appropriate.
GERITOL.jpg (31626 bytes) Geritol Cake
I baked this for my boss'
40th birthday. She liked me, so it
didn't affect my raise!
SPAM.jpg (141923 bytes) SPAM Cake
I baked this for someone on a high-protein, low-carbohydrate diet.  It tasted better than it looked!
HEART.jpg (31198 bytes) Heart Cake
Another friend's birthday is
Valentine's Day. She once insisted that
I bake her a heart-shaped cake.
