I have a separate collection of product cakes that I bake, which started when a friend of mine teased me because I spend so much time baking my cakes—wouldn't it be much easier to just make a box cake mix??! So I took him up on his suggestion and made him a "box cake mix" cake (see photo below).  The rest is history. Click on each cake title below to see a photo of the finished cake (was it what you expected?). All cakes are regular white or chocolate cakes with buttercream frosting, and yes, these cakes were cut and eaten! Mail me if you have suggestions for other cakes along these lines.
